An annual boiler service checks that your boiler is running safely and efficiently, and is generally required to keep most manufacturer warranties valid. We carry out boiler servicing across Cheam and Sutton for gas boilers of most major brands.
A service is not the same as a repair; it is a preventative check that can catch developing issues, such as a component wearing out, before they cause a breakdown. Our engineers are Gas Safe registered (registration 968274) to carry out this work.
If you also need a landlord gas safety certificate or a gas safety check on other appliances, we offer a combined gas safety and boiler service, which is often more convenient than booking them separately.
What a boiler service typically involves
- Visual inspection of the boiler casing, flue and seals
- Checking gas pressure and burner combustion
- Checking the heat exchanger and condensate system
- Testing safety devices and controls
- Checking system pressure and general operation
Why annual servicing matters
Most boiler manufacturers require an annual service to keep the warranty valid, and a service can pick up early signs of wear, such as a failing seal or a component operating outside its normal parameters, before they lead to a breakdown.
What to do before your service appointment
Make sure the engineer can access the boiler and any external flue terminal, and have your boiler's manual or previous service record to hand if you have one, as it can help confirm the service history.
How charging works
A gas safety certificate or boiler service is priced at £99. A combined gas safety check and boiler service is £160. Full current rates are on /our-rates.
