Central heating repairs cover a broad range of work, from the boiler itself to the pipework, radiators, valves and controls that make up the wider system. We carry out heating repairs across Cheam and Sutton, whether the issue is a specific fault or general reliability problems with an ageing system.
Because heating systems are interconnected, an engineer diagnosing a repair will usually consider the system as a whole, checking whether a fault is isolated to one component or is a symptom of something happening more broadly, such as sludge build-up or an ageing pump.
If you know roughly what is wrong, our more specific pages on boiler repairs, radiator repairs, no heating and boiler losing pressure go into more detail on those particular issues.
What falls under central heating repairs
- Boiler faults and breakdowns
- Radiator and valve repairs
- Pump, motorised valve and diverter valve faults
- Thermostat, programmer and control faults
- Pipework repairs within the heating system
How we approach a heating repair
An engineer will start with your description of the symptoms, check the boiler and controls, then work through the system checking components most likely to be responsible, rather than replacing parts speculatively.
Getting the most from a repair visit
It helps to note down when the fault started, whether anything changed beforehand (such as bleeding a radiator or a power cut), and any fault codes shown, before the engineer arrives.
How charging works
Heating repairs are charged by time at our standard hourly rate, with a one hour minimum and 30 minute increments after that, plus parts. See /our-rates for current rates.
